Before first use
Your Pure 2 recirculation cooktop has the care described here. Check the exact model label before choosing replacement parts.
Keep the air inlet nozzle, grease filter, filter-replacement cover and odour filter fitted during use. Keep ventilation openings clear. Switch the cooktop and extractor off and let them cool before cleaning; H means the cooking zone is still hot.
Use suitable non-abrasive cleaners, not oven spray, acid, lye, chlorine, soda, abrasive sponges or steam cleaners. Do not spray water into the appliance.
Lift cookware instead of sliding it and keep its base clean. Do not use the cooktop as a worktop or storage surface.
Use the automatic after-run to clear remaining vapour; its factory setting is 30 minutes. Installation, commissioning, electrical work and repairs belong to qualified specialists. In recirculation mode, ventilate the room sufficiently to let humidity escape.
Weekly
Soften dried-on dirt rather than scraping it away.
Use a soft, damp cloth with detergent or mild window cleaner on the extraction-system surfaces. Soften dried-on dirt with a damp cloth; do not scrape.
Weekly
Weekly, or sooner: After very greasy cooking
Clean at least weekly, and sooner after very greasy cooking. Also clean when the recirculation filter-service display appears; grease cleaning does not replace odour-filter replacement or reset its life.
Lift out the air inlet nozzle, then lift the stainless-steel grease filter by its handle.
Every 6 months
Every 6 months, or sooner: When replacing the odour filter
The removable housing base is beneath the cooktop inside the floor unit.
Switch off, allow to cool and safely disconnect the appliance from the mains before opening covers near the fan.
Remove the inlet nozzle, grease filter and filter-replacement cover. Release all six locks around the housing base and remove the base. Clean the housing and base with a mild cleaning agent.
Yearly
Yearly, or sooner: At 150 hours or filter warning
Recirculation models only: the filter life is 150 operating hours (about one year). Replace sooner for odour build-up, weaker extraction or F.
Switch the appliance off. Lift out the inlet nozzle and grease filter. Pull the replacement cover out through the opening in the filter housing. Grip the old filter's strap, pull it out as far as possible, then pull upwards and rotate it out through the inlet opening.
After the cooktop gets dirty
Deal with spills and debris promptly to prevent marks and scratching.
Remove crumbs, grains and similar debris immediately so they cannot scratch the surface. Wipe boiled-over food with a damp cloth.
Remove melted plastic, aluminium foil and sugar or sweet food from the hot cooking zone immediately with a glass-ceramic scraper. Take care around hot surfaces.
Once cool, remove coarse residues with a glass-ceramic scraper. Spread suitable glass-ceramic cleaner with kitchen paper or a clean cloth, wipe with a damp cloth and dry with a clean cloth.
After the controls get dirty
Remove dirt promptly so the touch controls remain clear.
On the switched-off, cooled appliance, wipe the controls with a lightly dampened soft cloth and a suitable non-abrasive cleaner. Keep liquid out of the appliance.
When cleaning leaves grease behind
Replace the stainless-steel filter if cleaning no longer removes all dirt.
Lift out the inlet nozzle and old filter using its handle. Put in a clean, dry replacement grease filter compatible with Pure 2, then refit the inlet nozzle.
By hand, use a cleaner and degreaser in one: rinse with hot water, clean with a soft brush and rinse with clean water. Or position the parts in the dishwasher so water cannot collect and choose a programme no hotter than 65°C.
Put back the clean, dry grease filter, then the inlet nozzle. Replace the filter if it can no longer be fully cleaned.
Locate the base on all three spigots, push it up into the sealing groove and close all six locks. Check it is seated correctly.
Insert the filter-replacement cover and check its seating, then refit the clean, dry grease filter and inlet nozzle.
Unpack the compatible filter. Keep the arrow pointing left, the grip strap right and TOP upwards. Hold both ends and bend it into a cylinder; tilt it through the inlet opening. Guide the left end into the filter housing and push it fully inside. Check it has reached its end position.
Refit the replacement cover securely, then the clean, dry grease filter and inlet nozzle. Switch on only with all cooking zones and extractor inactive and no residual heat. Hold the multifunction display to open the user menu; tap it to item 3. Hold the displayed F until filter status resets to 100%. Hold the multifunction display or power button to exit.
