Use a spoon to lever up the pump cover, hold its handle and lift it diagonally inwards. Carefully remove food and foreign objects from around the impeller; sharp glass can cause injury.
Refit the pump cover and press it down until it clicks. Reassemble and lock the filter system, then refit both baskets.
When the inlet screen is blocked
Switch the dishwasher off, unplug it and close the tap. Unscrew the water connection.
Remove the screen from the inlet hose, clean it and put it back. Screw the water connection firmly back on.
Check the water connection for leaks before plugging the dishwasher in and switching it on.
