Replace the cartridge, flush the water system and reset the filter reminder every six months.

Remove the old cartridge
Open the filter cover and release and remove the cartridge carefully. Trapped air and pressure can release water or eject the cartridge.

Fit the new cartridge
Insert the new filter cartridge.

Flush the water system
Dispense a few litres of water to remove air from the system. The filter specification also instructs you to rinse a new filter thoroughly for 5 minutes; discard this flushing water.

Reset the filter reminder
Press and hold “options” until an arrow marks [filter change]. Press the +/- setting buttons to activate the new filter. The [filter change] indication goes out.

Discard the first ice
After fitting a new filter, discard all ice produced during the first 24 hours after switching on the ice maker.

Dispose of the old cartridge
Pour the water out of the old cartridge. The cartridge can be disposed of with household waste.
Keep in mind
- Do not use the appliance with water of doubtful or unknown quality without adequate disinfection before and after filtering.
- If the ice has not been used for a prolonged period, discard the ice already in the container and the ice produced during the next 24 hours.
- Replace the filter sooner if the appliance or ice has not been used for several weeks or months, or if the ice tastes or smells unpleasant. If the water tastes or smells unpleasant, flush the system for several minutes; replace the filter if this persists.
