Dryer
Clear care instructions, helpful schedules and manuals, all in one calm place.
Your own reminders, documents and care history. Add it once. We’ll take care of the rest.
Before first use
Never operate with missing, incomplete or damaged lint protection. Condensate is not drinking water. Keep children under 3 and pets away; supervise children's cleaning. Repairs, refrigerant work and damaged-cord replacement belong to qualified service personnel. Keep flames and ignition sources away: the R290 refrigerant is flammable.
Use a correctly installed, earthed socket, a level surface and adequate room ventilation. Keep the ventilation opening and surrounding area clear. After transport, let the dryer stand for 2 hours before first use. Have drain-hose and stacking installation completed correctly; use only an approved Bosch stacking kit.
Dry only suitable water-washed textiles and observe each programme's load limit. Remove lighters and matches. Thoroughly wash laundry contaminated by oil, wax, solvents or stain removers with hot water and detergent first. Do not dry unwashed items, items treated with industrial chemicals or foam-rubber items.
Do not stop a drying programme early. If you must, remove the laundry immediately and spread it out so heat can escape. Wait for the drum to stop before reaching inside.
Switch off and unplug before cleaning. Use a soft damp cloth on surfaces; avoid solvent cleaners, abrasives, rough pads, steam cleaners and sprays. Powered care programmes have their own sequence: reconnect before selecting CP1 or CP2 and let the cycle finish.
After each drying programme
Clean after each programme, including when the lint-filter reminder appears during drying; do the cleaning after the programme has finished.
After the programme ends, open the door and remove lint from its inside. Lift out the two-part filter, one section after the other. Remove lint from the recess without letting it fall into the air duct.
Open both sections and remove the lint. Put lint in household waste.
Wash both filters thoroughly under warm running water and dry them. Collect the cleaning water in a container, pour it through a filter such as a coffee filter, then put that filter in household waste.
Close both filter sections, put them together, refit the complete filter and close the door.
After drying without a drain hose
Regular emptying is unnecessary with a correctly connected drain hose. Empty it if a tank-full warning interrupts drying, and whenever a care programme requires it. Keep the tank in place during automatic heat-exchanger cleaning.
After the programme ends, or when a tank-full warning interrupts drying, pull the condensate tank out horizontally.
Empty the tank and check its filter regularly. Clean the filter if it is dirty.
Slide the tank all the way in before using the dryer. If a tank-full warning interrupted a programme, press Start/Pauze (start/pause) to resume.
When the tank filter is dirty
The filter is automatically rinsed when the tank is emptied. Check it regularly and clean it if dirty.
Empty the condensate tank, then lift out its filter.
Rinse it under warm running water. Collect the water in a container and pour it through a coffee filter or similar filter; put the used filter in household waste. The tank filter can also be cleaned in a dishwasher.
Push the filter all the way in, then slide the condensate tank fully back into the dryer.
When deposits build up
Check the sensor regularly for limescale and residues from detergents or care products; these can affect automatic drying.
Open the door and clean the moisture sensor with a soft sponge.
When CrE appears
Use this programme for the CrE reminder and light deposits in the appliance.
Empty the drum, switch the dryer off, clean the lint filter and empty the condensate tank.
If condensate normally drains through a hose, move the tank's stopper from its top recess to the opening underneath, then clean the tank filter.
Pour about 1.5 litres of warm tap water into the condensate tank. Keep it horizontal and push it in until it locks.
Reconnect power. Turn the selector clockwise from Uit (off) to the first programme position (1). Hold Strijkdroog (the iron-dry button) while turning clockwise to the fourth position (4), then release. CP1 and the programme duration alternate on the display.
Press Start/Pauze (start/pause). Allow about 1 hour, until End appears and the signal sounds.
Empty the tank. If using the drain hose, return the stopper from the underside to its top recess. Push the tank back until it locks, then turn the selector to Uit (off).
For stubborn deposits or prolonged disuse
Use for stubborn deposits and odours after more than a month without use. Allow about 4 hours. Follow the product's safety instructions.
Empty the drum, switch off, clean the lint filter and empty the tank. If using a drain hose, move the stopper from its top recess to the underside opening and clean the tank filter.
Put one bottle of original Bosch appliance-care product and about 1.5 litres of warm tap water into the tank. Keep the tank horizontal and push it in until it locks.
Reconnect power. Turn the selector clockwise from Uit (off) to the first programme position (1). Hold Strijkdroog (iron dry), turn clockwise to the fourth position (4) and release. When CP1 alternates with the duration, press the + control to select CP2.
Press Start/Pauze (start/pause). After about 3 hours the programme pauses and shows the remaining duration. Do not cancel the programme.
Empty the tank, add about 1.5 litres of warm tap water, gently turn it horizontally to rinse away care-product residue, then empty it again.
Add another approximately 1.5 litres of warm tap water. Keep the tank horizontal, slide it in until it locks and press Start/Pauze (start/pause). Wait for End and the signal.
Empty the tank. If using a drain hose, return the stopper from the underside to the top recess. Slide the tank fully back in before next use and switch the dryer off.
When residue or dust appears
Use a soft, damp cloth and water only. Remove detergent, spray and other residue promptly.
