If softener is not fully rinsed away or too much water remains, the siphon may be blocked or incorrectly fitted.
During a programme, Add laundry is available only when the lock symbol is off. It is generally unavailable above 55°C or with a high water level.

When the drain is blocked
For a blocked drain or F11. The washer has two drain filters, with distinct left and right positions.
Switch off and disconnect the washer from the electrical supply. Open the drain-pump flap and place a bowl or shallow container beneath it. A blocked machine can contain a large amount of water; water from a recent hot wash can burn.
Loosen both filters only far enough for water to flow. Do not remove them yet. Whenever the container fills, tighten the filters, empty the container and continue. Only remove the filters fully after water has stopped flowing.
Clean both filters thoroughly. Check that the pump impellers turn easily. Remove foreign objects such as buttons or coins and clean the filter housing.
Return each filter to its correct left or right position and screw both firmly into their housings. Close the pump flap before using the washer.
When grease balls appear on laundry
For grey, elastic grease balls left on washed laundry after heavily oily or creamy items.
Run a 60°C wash programme with liquid detergent and no laundry.
For similarly greasy laundry, use more detergent or a liquid detergent, following the detergent dose instructions.
