when the appliance requests self-cleaning / the cavity needs cleaning
Self-cleaning heats the oven cavity to a very high temperature and burns off residues. Keep the kitchen ventilated, and keep children and pets away.
Remove the water tank. Remove accessories and forms from the cavity. Remove coarse dirt. Clean the appliance door and the edge surfaces of the cavity at the door seal. Clean the inner door glass with warm soapy water and a cleaning cloth, then dry with a soft cloth.
Open the menu, choose Self-cleaning, and start the cleaning with start/stop. If needed, select a different cleaning level before starting.
When the cavity has cooled, wipe away the remaining ash in the cavity, on the racks, and on the appliance door with a damp cloth. Wipe removable parts with a damp cloth, then slide them in and out several times.
when the appliance displays that 5 or fewer steam uses remain
Descaling removes limescale from the evaporator. The appliance is only ready for use again after descaling is completely finished.
Mix 400 ml water and 200 ml liquid descaling agent into a descaling solution.
Remove the water tank, fill it with the descaling solution, fully insert it again, close the panel, open the function menu, choose Descaling, and start.
After descaling, remove the water tank, rinse it thoroughly, fill it with water, and insert it again. Repeat for a second rinse cycle.
